Privacy Policy.
Motes is a small team. We collect as little as the site needs to work, and this page says exactly what that is.
Visiting the site
Pages are served through Cloudflare and hosted on Railway. Like any web server, they log the request (address, page, time, browser) for a short period to keep the service running and to spot abuse.
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies in your browser and sends usage data to Google. We do not sell this data and we do not use it for advertising.
Applying for the allowlist
If you apply, we ask you to sign in with X. We read only your public profile (username, display name, picture, account age, follower count) to know who is applying. We never post on your behalf and we never see your password.
You give us a wallet address. We store it with your application so the allowlist can be matched to it later. We do not ask for keys, seed phrases or signatures.
To tell people from bots we use Cloudflare Turnstile. It may set a cookie and sends a signal to Cloudflare; it does not identify you to us beyond pass or fail.
We keep the address your application came from, in hashed form, to notice when many applications share one connection.
Who processes it
Cloudflare (delivery, Turnstile, file storage), Railway (hosting and database), Google (analytics) and X (sign-in). Each one acts under its own privacy terms; we share nothing with anyone else.
How long
Applications are kept until the allowlist is settled and for a reasonable period after, then deleted. Server logs are kept for days, not months. Analytics follows Google's retention setting, which we keep at the shortest option.
Your choices
You can ask us to show or delete what we hold about you. Write to [email protected], or to @meetmotes on X; we answer from those two places and never DM first.
You can block analytics and Turnstile cookies in your browser; the site still works, the application form may not.
Changes
If this page changes, the date above changes with it. Nothing on this page is legal advice.
